Where i can only imagine his friends awaited to greet him. Because the friends could not get through the crowd they carried their friend to the roof and lowered him down to jesus. This is a get your hands dirty digging through the roof kind of faith. Yeshua seeing their faith said to the paralyzed man son your sins are forgiven.

But what about you. Since they were not able to bring him to jesus because of the crowd they removed the roof above where he was. Soon the house where he was staying was so packed with visitors that there was no more room even outside the door. Then they lowered the man down through the roof to where jesus was. Their love concern effort and faith all cry out to jesus for help so jesus helps the man. They couldn t bring him to jesus because of the crowd so they dug a hole through the roof above his head. And when they had broken through they lowered the mat on which the paralytic was lying.

When jesus saw how much faith these four men had he not only healed the paralyzed man he even forgave him of all his sins. You and i have friends who need to come to jesus. 8 6 the men believed jesus came from god and he could heal people. To make the roof the builder would lay sticks close together over the beams and cover them with hard packed clay.
